Baby cornsnakes can be pretty snappy! My Okatee Corn Snake was. He was purchased as a hatchling. That is how they survive, when evrthing is trying to eat them! My snake tamed down after about two years, and has been very pleasant since. He's now 13 years old. Just use some common sense when handling. Make sure that if you handled any poultry, rabbits, rodents or birds of any kind, that you wash your hands before handling the snake. Not doing so will more than likely result in getting bitten! Not much fun when that snake is about five feet long! Do not spook the snake, let it see your hand. I don't handle my snake that much, but before I handle it, I put the palm of my hand in front of him. Once I do that, I can pick him up. That snake has not struck or bitten me in at least 11 years. He does vibrate his tail every once in a while. That is due to not handling him regularly. Corn Snakes make excellent pets. Enjoy.

I have had my 2 corn snakes for 5 yrs each actually my female for 6yrs. I just moved from NY to Ne and my male snake has been regurgitating the mice I've been feeding him. Any thoughts on why? She's been eating just fine.
