Do Corn Snakes Make Good Pets?

Posted on October 20th, 2008 in Corn Snakes As Pets by austin

One of the most common questions I run into about corn snakes is, "Do corn snakes make good pets?" I would say that corn snakes make great pets. They are especially good pets for children or as a "starter" or first time snake.

One reason corn snakes make great pets is that they are very docile and tolerate handling without the worry of being bit.

Another reason corn snakes make wonderful pets is that they are very easy to take care of.

Corn snakes are also very easy to feed.

Most corn snakes are inexpensive and easy to find for sale. Of course there are some rare breeds that are more expensive and might require some research to find. But for the most part they can be purchased for under $40.00 from your local breeder or pet store.

These are just some of the reasons that corn snakes make great pets!
